Outstanding wine, intense, pungent, with so long finish… nutty, with preserved pickled lemon, bruised apple, chamomile, bread crust, curry powder and sea brine. Hazelnut, walnut, mushroom. Meditation wine, still fresh and velvety in the same time. The body is medium but with the oily texture in the same time. The textural sensations are going ahead with the flavors’ richness. Comparably new manzanilla called in honour of a very first brand bottled by the bodega in 1827. 6y in Solear solera followed by 3y in a separate La Pastora solera, bottled ‘en rama’ according to tradition. Rustic, nutty and yeasty nose. Walnuts, yellow apple, melted milk chocolate is followed by a chamomile tea and dried hay notes. All-round, chalky and surprisingly well balanced palate. High acidity, extra generous salinity and brininess. Exemplary manzanilla to close down the week.
