92 pts | NZ 🍇 Chardonnay (100%) made with grapes from various vineyards within 🇳🇿 Marlborough. Fermented, full MLF, and matured for 11 months in 🇫🇷 oak barrels. Medium lemon color. Pronounced aroma intensity, green apple, floral, peach, grapefruit, vanilla, a hint of caramel. Developing. Dry, high acidity, medium(+) alcohol, medium body. Vibrant on the palate, green apple, white peach, fresh lemon, lemon peel, a hint of caramel, vanilla and almond; long finish. Very good Q, a nice and well-made Chardonnay.

Typical New Zealand Chardonnay. Full bodied, dried apricots and vanilla. Honey with some toast. Despite that all the usual suspects, there is enough citrus and acidity to balance the bold flavours. In the end a very enjoyable strong wine.

As I found with when I last rated this chardonnay, it is a very approachable, easy drinking chardonnay, but not for those who want a big chardonnay. Stone fruit forward - apricots, nectarine and subtle passion fruit in the finish. Buttery texture.

The oak management is flawless—offering subtle toasted brioche and hazelnut notes without being heavy. High tension, distinct flinty minerality, and an incredibly clean finish. It's vibrant and nervous right now, but has wonderful aging potential.

The nose opens with fresh lemon, white peach and nectarine, little to no oak. On the palate it is light-bodied with lively acidity, showing flavours of citrus, stone fruit. Nicely rounded yet still precise, with a clean, gently nutty finish. Approachable and polished. Good structure and medium finish.

The more I try this, the more I like it which I suspect is due to the nuances of a Margaret River Chardy it possesss. Lemon curd, peach, nectarine, vanilla with a slightly creamy body and some minerals on the finish. Balanced and reasonably priced, this is a good alternative to explore when you want to try something other than their trademark Sauvignon Blanc. Never had a bad Cloudy Bay to my memory.

Good quality Chardonnay. Pale straw with a green glint. Nose of fresh apple and pear. Palate has big mouthfeel, lots of fruit, high acidity, taut with lots of grip. Very good.
