Because YiTing wants to drink MORE. 😂 Extra bottle as nightcap. Nice Spatlese and carries quite a bit of sweetness. The nose was actually really nice for me. Hint of that petroleum into the floral sweetness was really quite nice.

Honeysuckle, green apple, citrus, and slight petroleum and butter nose. The palate is wrapped like an elegant present, with layers of citrus zest, apple, and minerals. When the wrapping tears apart towards the finish, an elegant touch of honey spread on the tongue as the remaining minerals evaporate. The honey and lemon linger on the long-lasting chalky, acidic finish. Full of flavor. Fantastic bottle of Riesling.

Excellent German riesling. Some smokiness, usually attributed to Chardonnay, stone fruits, exotic fruits and in general great white. We had it with chicken tortillas with tomato and Worcester sauce and it was really impressive. Great recommendation from the Wein Depot at Amsterdamer strasse in Cologne

[Selbach-Oster Visit] The next step I make in this tasting is the Spätlese and IMHO it’s the absolute sweet spot in the range with excellent value for the class you get. BTW, Sonnenuhr refers to the Mosel’s oldest sundial (1620!) positioned on the vineyard ‘s steep slope. It’s so pure and straight, no abundance in descriptors but seductive none the less, starting with the mineralic nose with apricot, peach & subtle citrus. The palate comes with perfect acidity, citrus, a faint sweet touch & salinity. 4.1
