Classic butter note on the nose, there is some ripe red apples and almond as well. The palate introduces some peach, minerals and a caramel note. Very Classical Meursault with quite the amount of oakiness, but it stays just inside the elegant realm. Good medium plus finish. A friend that blind tasted this one did think it was a Chardonnay from a warmer area because of the ripeness of the fruit.

Tasted in the domaine. Tasted little to give precise review, but the minerals were great, while there were apple, cream as well. Compared to the aligote, of course, this one had more volume and complexity. The plot is located on the edge of Meursault, right next to Volnay.

This white burgundy was perfectly paired with our meal and the time of the year in St Louis! The tart apple 🍏 forwardness was met by are shrimp 🍤 tempura and Bibb salad. As the dinner progressed, the wine softened and went perfectly with our lobster 🦞 risotto and barramundi 🐟 Give this vintage five more years and it’s got five stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ in its back pocket 😬 #Cheers #MoriartyParty
