Excellent Chardonnay with a vibrant, well-defined bouquet of orange, citrus, white flowers, butter, and almond. It opens lively with spiciness (ginger, lemongrass), ripe fruits (apple, lemon, peach), minerals, and a hint of caramel. Oak is integrated, providing structure. It offers medium-plus length, vibrant freshness, and a saline note at the finish.

Outstanding Wine: 100% Chardonnay from Meursault, Côte de Beaune. The 2017 vintage shows pale gold with aromas of white flowers, ripe citrus, honey, and flinty minerality. Dry, medium-bodied with vibrant acidity and a creamy texture from lees aging. Oak influence (12 months in French oak, 20% new) adds vanilla, toast, and light spice. Flavors of pear, ripe peach, and hazelnut lead to a long, mineral-driven finish.

Hot take- not lush enough on the nose for me. The finish is great but there is a lot of citrus and green apple hiding the more rich notes

🗓: 2020 🍇: Chardonnay 👁: Pale lemon 👃: Medium- intensity for nose. Notes of peach, pear, citrus, lemon, minerals 👅: Dry, medium acidity, full bodied, 13% abv, palate has toast and cream in addition to nose, medium length finish Nice Meursault. Not much on the nose but thankfully palate is more expressive. 4.1 pts for me

A light rendition of Meursault. Saline, good acidity. Short on substance and actually almost appears a bit watered down. Unusual 2018.Wouldn’t expect further development

Classic butter note on the nose, there is some ripe red apples and almond as well. The palate introduces some peach, minerals and a caramel note. Very Classical Meursault with quite the amount of oakiness, but it stays just inside the elegant realm. Good medium plus finish. A friend that blind tasted this one did think it was a Chardonnay from a warmer area because of the ripeness of the fruit.

Appearance: White gold with silver highlights. Nose: Aromas of almonds, roasted hazelnuts, acacia flowers. Palate: Rich and complex, with a lemony, acidic structure and mineral notes, with a long, flavorful finish.

Tasted in the domaine. Tasted little to give precise review, but the minerals were great, while there were apple, cream as well. Compared to the aligote, of course, this one had more volume and complexity. The plot is located on the edge of Meursault, right next to Volnay.

Solid Meursault- some oily, petrol, slightly neutered noise, nice mineral. Good solo or with food. Good but not the best I've ever had of this cru

This white burgundy was perfectly paired with our meal and the time of the year in St Louis! The tart apple 🍏 forwardness was met by are shrimp 🍤 tempura and Bibb salad. As the dinner progressed, the wine softened and went perfectly with our lobster 🦞 risotto and barramundi 🐟 Give this vintage five more years and it’s got five stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ in its back pocket 😬 #Cheers #MoriartyParty
