My first encounter with Coche Dury, coming from my liking of the tension and linearity of PYCM. And this is stuff of legends. The palate is broad, dense and almost Meursault like, but more restrained, showing marked reduction on opening and far more weight than expected from Aligoté. Loved the reductive nature, the slate and control. Amazing first run in with CD. Sadly, prices are at a point that I expect drinking this will be few and far apart

Wow is this my best Coche-Dury Bourgogne-Aligote yet?! Golden bright yellow hue, delightfully fresh, but understated acidity, yet with distinct creamy minerality of toasted lemon curd, meyer lemon, late nutmeg. Medium mouthfeel but very soothingly seamless and ethereal. Dry but punctuated with lingering chalky, oyster-shell and hints of white floral vanilla. Delicious and unique just declaring its pedigreed finesse! Very good, my best yet from Coche-Dury! Birthday Wines at EST IOI, 22.03.26

Served blind by CP during our dinner last night at Sushi Kenshin. Weiwei called Burgundy Chardonnay but the acidity and minerality on the palate somehow didn’t lead me to Chardonnay. I called Burgundy Aligote. But damn what an aligote! The nose is pronounced, quite buttery and leesy, very open nose. The palate is driven by minerality and high acidity, with unripe stonefruits, lemon. 1st Coche Dury pf 2026, hopefully not the last🤞🏻

Light straw, opens quite shy on lemon and some grassy tones. After 10 minutes opens up and reveals quite some depth with algae and marine tones. On palate, vertical, crunchy and vibrant, high acidity, no oak (hint to aligote), lean body (hint to aligote), no warmth, savoury, good finish. Very balanced despite the high acidity and steeliness.
