Nice mature palette. Dry wine with flavours of green apple and lemon in the aftertaste. Drinking the wine at restaurant Tranan, Stockholm. 🍽️ +🍷 = 👍 Working well to the starter white-asparagus with truffle-hollandaise, and the main dish of fish and chips. The fattiness in the dishes works well with the wine. And that gave the wine +0,1 or +0,2 extra rating from me to a final score of 3,9. As a stand alone wine it’s more of 3,7 in score.

Rested three months on its lees; the wine shows a pale straw colour with green hues, an intensely fresh nose of apple, pear, peach and citrus lifted by a signature saline, sea-breeze minerality. Bodegas Zárate, founded in 1707 in Meaño (Val do Salnés), is helmed by seventh-generation Eulogio Pomares, who since taking over in 2000 has converted to biodynamic farming.
