Iconic and €140 in a restaurant in Meursault. Worth the trip! It’s not a €1000 wine as per the open market price but it is a very very good Meursault. Subtle and refined, no butter bomb. After 15 mins in the glass it blossoms with flowers from med to pronounced. Honeysuckle.

Coche-Dury has made an excellent Meursault in the 2018 vintage. Chalky, acid driven, very fine and well balanced, like the 2017 this isn't initially very reductive, but shows a rather open and welcoming nose of flint, grapefruit, lavender, toffee apple, lemon/lime juice, almond and cold butter. 2018 is growing on me as a vintage even if it's not as good as 20 or 17 for white. 12,5 alc. Super wine, but I still think that pre 2013 Coche was in a different league.

Perfect synthesis of modern winemaking and terroir, a laser-sculpted, classy Meursault. Medium to full body with lightfooted intensity and insane overall precision, it shows a zesty, tailor-made profile driven by smoky reductive edges which hosts tones of sesame and sweet herbs. Finely tense and scratchy, with squeezed-lime-acids and a pure white stone minerality that provides some austerity and nice lenght. Top notch reduction in nose with popcorn, toasted sesame, guava, warm butter, flint and fragrant flowers.

Humbled. Probably the best burgundy white I’ve tried so far. Magnificent Meursault nose featuring notes of hazelnut, citrus, lemon zest, pear and a hint of acacia blossom and saffron. There is good richness and volume to the relatively full-bodied flavors. Thanks to the nicely prominent acid spine it retains a fine sense of delineation on the markedly linear and lingering finish.
