Amazing precision!!! Purity at its best, lean but intense, intense but lifted. Complex notes of white pear and apricots and honey notes but not heavy at all. Amazing sublime palate, perfect balance of acid and fruit. Both the nose and palate are extreemly clean and delicate, with the wine almost hovering over our tongue and weightless, though the white fruit and mild salinity are quite intense and unmistakable.

Our third glass at Noble Rot was from the famous Clos de la Truffière of Benoit Ente. A wine that made its presence felt, at the intersection between classical burgundy and a natural approach. Slightly flinty and reductive initially, it quickly dissipated to highlight a nose of crisp apples and lemons. The mouthfeel was broad and rich, with a noticeable noble oak balanced with an energetic acidity and a very long mineral finish. In a good place after 7 years, but a few more years will integrate the wood better.
