Excellent, complex 100% Godello from Valdeorras. Pale lemon colour. Stays on the lees with batonnage and ages in oak barrels for 6 months. Scents of lemon, grapefruit, lemon zest, light toasty vanilla with a mineral touch. The oak is present is a very subtle way. Creamy texture. Medium+ bodied. Amazing wine and one of the best Godello expressions. 92+ pts.

⭐🤯⭐ Tasting the 2015 for the second time, 3 years later. I rated it 4.5 the first time, it's become even better now. The nose has developed pronounced honey notes, the banana has receded, and everything else is still there: bruised & baked pineapple, smoke, pear, cream, etc. Valdesil pioneered fine-lees tank maturation. Only the finest aged Viogniers from Condrieu achieve this kind of full-bodied perfection.

Holiday in Devon. 100% Godello, purchased a year ago from LW. 14%. Pale lemon, bright and inviting. Stone fruit, melon? juicy. Some oak character, butter, vanilla? A beautiful texture, rich and mouth filling. Juicy, butter and balanced. Good acidity, long. Looking forward to enjoying with dinner (gurnard). Delicious.
