Spain 🇪🇸 - premium 🍷 Last night's most expensive wine can be ordered for about 900 Euro at Swedish Systembolaget. Nothing for my budget but fun to try. This Pingus, vintage 2021, from Ribera del Duero is made from 100% Tempranillo grapes and 8000 bottles have been produced. Dark fruit, complex and well-balanced. A powerful, full-bodied and elegant wine that probably needs a tasty piece of meat to show its best side. Lovely but a bit expensive

Deep and intense red colored wine, with ruby nuances and dark reflections. On the nose, aromas of crushed stone, dried violets and blackberries. Full-bodied and very powerful on the palate, with notes of dark chocolate and hazelnut standing out. Pleasantly lingering finish. The amazing tannin quality in this wine provides it with enormous aging potential.

A dream tasting. Black fruit (cherry and plum) on the nose. Naturally notes of vanilla from oak too. It is noticeable that a perfectionist made this wine. Superb balance of acidity, tannins and rest sugar. A truly amazing experience.

Still very young. The aromas took us on an impressive ride. It started off smelling bland and boring, evolving into a sweet blend of soft fruit, liqourice and tobacco. I am truly grateful for this experience. Cheers!

1999. Tremendous beast, dense matter, the fruit is so bright, ripe and intense to get give a marmelade feeling in the mouth. Full bodied, rich, gliceric and deep in the mouth, well balanced by a fresh acidity. Monster wine, even if I felt it slightly heavy having it late in the meal and took me a bit to finish the glass. 24yo but taste still young, almost too young. 95/100.

It is too young but really surprised by the bottle. I thought it would be heavy and extracted but it’s really elegant and pretty for Tempranillo. Oak isn’t over done, light on it’s feet. Damn expensive but for how young it is drinks well already. Nice floral tones too, nose is tight. 10-20 years would be ideal. Great structure too.
