Granbazán Etiqueta Ámbar 2023 es un vino blanco monovarietal elaborado exclusivamente con la variedad Albariño por la prestigiosa bodega Granbazán, enmarcada en la D.O. Rías Baixas. Fundada en 1981, la bodega se ubica en el Valle del Salnés, en el corazón de las Rías Baixas en Galicia. La finca, de 14 hectáreas y situada a 100 metros sobre el nivel del mar, cuenta con suelos graníticos, orientación al naciente y raíces profundas. Además de las hectáreas alrededor de la bodega, Granbazán dispone de 3 hectáreas adicionales en Covas del Lobos.

Las cepas utilizadas para Granbazán Etiqueta Ámbar tienen más de 35 años de antigüedad y son vendimiadas manualmente. Se realiza una cuidadosa selección de la fruta directamente desde el viñedo. El proceso incluye un suave despalillado y maceración a baja temperatura en frío durante 6 a 8 horas. Posteriormente, se separa el mosto por gravedad, y la fermentación controlada tiene lugar en depósitos de acero inoxidable, seguida de un trabajo con lías finas. El embotellado se lleva a cabo 8 meses después de finalizada la fermentación.

First time I’ve tried this producer and it’s a nice young wine. Floral citrus, peach, nectarine, green apple, mild tropical notes, prominent minerals. Medium body (13%), bone dry, high acidity and a long saline finish.

TN #️⃣7️⃣9️⃣0️⃣0️⃣ is appropriately one of our favourite Albariños in the 'fresh' style from Bodegas GRANBAZÁN and ideal for this hot 🌞 weather 🥵. This neoclassical style winery is semi-buried and faces north, maintaining constant and cool temperatures throughout the year. The 🍇s here are over 35 years old and hand-picked. Controlled fermentation is carried out at low temperature and the wine spends a minimum of 8 months on the fine lees. Translucent, bright light lemon in colour. (Continued in comments below).

Perfect end of a long day in warm London. Nice and slightly complex Albarinho. Medium lemon with green hues. Medium+ nose of citrus fruits, peach, lime. Medium acidity with a tangy finish. Oily palate with minerality and some texture. Elegant and refreshing. Good value for price!

Vitis vinifera

Pale gold with a greenish tint and a watery rim. Aromas of stone fruit, tropical fruit, and floral notes. Good body with moderate acidity. Citrus also comes through on the palate, particularly lime and grapefruit. A minerality sneaks in to the lengthy finish. Not exactly my preference of flavour, but a nice wine to drink.

Oh lordy, put out an Ámber-alert, this stuff is fantastico 🤤 perfect balance and harmony between the citrus, pear, and melon. It’s so mineral, with salt. This is Albariño done right. Great acidity, great long aftertaste.
