Served from a Magnum, this was showing very green, feels very young with a lot of gas in the tank. Deep ruby coloured, medium++ bodied, dry with nice grippy tannins and elevated acidity. Notes of oak blackberry blackcurrant leather cherry cassis minerals bell pepper pencil shavings green bell pepper , nice big mouth feel, long finish, a well made wine, highly enjoyable!!

As Mas la Plana gets older, it seems it get’s more juicy and more intense. More gravelly taste to this one with some extra tobacco and menthol. Some kerosene and gummy tannin gives it an especially fierce, yet lovable, mouthfeel.
