Производство

После ручного сбора виноград проходит ферментацию в открытых чанах и бочках из французского дуба. Затем вино выдерживается 24 месяца в старых дубовых бочках, еще 6 месяцев в больших фудрах и не менее 16 месяцев созревает в бутылках перед выпуском.

Excellent res from DO Ribeira Sacra, made by the winery Dominio do Bibei, in Langullo in decomposed slate, schist and granite soils. Blend of 68% mencía grapes, complemented with brancellao, mouratón, souson and grenache. Aged 19 months in French oak barrels, then 16 months in the bottle. Bright ruby colour with garnet nuances, nose id ripe red fruit, violets, wild herbs, spices. Palate is fresh, mineral, silky, balanced acidity, with a long, savoury finish. Previous milesime was awarded 95 RP points. Price: 40,95€

Elegant and quietly complex. Red fruit, floral notes and a distinct mineral edge on the nose. The palate is lifted with high acidity and fine tannins, giving it a Burgundian feel in structure rather than weight. Layers build with air, showing more savoury and earthy nuances. Still youthful and a bit tight, but clearly has the framework to develop further. A refined, terroir-driven wine that rewards patience and attention. Great with beef cheek and considered the pinot noir of Spain lol 😆😂

Fully destemmed, a big generous wine, quite fruit forward. Deep Ruby coloured, dry with medium+ body, big round tannins and elevated acidity. Nose leads with vanilla oak custard plum leather, notes of red fruit jam but acidty keeps it from being clawing, cherry dark fruit clove, decent length to the palate with hints of white pepper. Easy to recommend 👌

Ribera so.. “Heroic” viticulture on 45° slopes above the Sil river (500–700m+), north-facing, gneiss, schist and granite soils. Field blend, mainly old-vine Mencía (60–110 yrs) from four parcels, plus Brancellao, Mouratón & Sousón. Gravity-fed. 100% destemmed, cold maceration, fermented in 500L open-top French oak with native yeast and pigeage. Aged 19 mos barrique, 6 mos foudre, 2 yrs bottle. 13.5% abv.

One of headine estates of Ribeira Sacra that was long on a list. Blend of 75% Mencía, 20% Brancellao, 3% Mouratón and 2% Sousón. Up to 90y old vines planted at 500m altitude. Great depth of aromas on the nose - dark cherry, dark chocolate, marjoram, wet forest floor, tobacco. Fresh, medium+ acidity. Palate off the open is truly stunning, would hardly guess a traditional Galicia-based blend here. Smoky, earthy and rich - tobacco, black olive, charred meat, cold fireplace. Notable oak influence. ⬇️⬇️
