Ribera del Duero 2021 🇪🇸 Estupendo Tempranillo de pequeña producción, bastante potente, tánico e intenso tanto en nariz como en boca. Mejora mucho con un par de horas de decantación. Ribera del Duero en todo su esplendor. Excellent small production Tempranillo, remarkably powerful, tannic, and intense both on the nose and the palate. It benefits greatly from a couple of hours of decanting, revealing greater complexity and balance. A superb expression of Ribera del Duero at its finest.

I have had this already during a visit in the Ribera del Duero. It's still so good. Calogia does three wines only, all of the highest quality! Pronounced and harmonious aromas, graphite and smoke, then vanilla and chocolate, violet and peony, blackberry, sour and black cherry. Full, with fine, ripe tannins, gum-coating, chalky, fresh acid, quite refined, perfectly balanced to a minty, mouth-watering long finish. Top! 4.3 15% abv.

2019 vintage. Dark ruby color. Aromas of fig, graham craker, dark chocolate, and plum. Complex wine with a full body, mature tannins and moderate acidity. Up front flavors of cherry with rich baked dark chocolate balanced with earthy notes and subtle hints of sage. Dark fruits and leafy notes mid palate followed by a long slightly spicy aftertaste.

1 hour splash decant. cocoa nibs, tobacco, black currant, forest floor, brioche, lilac, balsamic, raspberry and thyme on the rather complex nose. inky purple color with a full mouth feel. same on yasye with disty leather, cinnamon, cream and@ fig notes. grippy tannins behind the front teeth though pretty integrated. nice a touch of smoked dark chocolate on the finish
