Wonderfully delicious bottle from this natural wine maker. Nose was exuberant, with notes of white flowers, sweet citrus, sour pineapples and starfruit. Chalky afternote. Dense and luxurious palate that just caresses the tongue. Entry was sour, but then the ripeness and sweetness of fruit takes over, then transitions to a dry finish. The only bad thing is my diminishing stock of this producer purchased before the prices went to the stratosphere. 😅

Lovely nose, precise and clean. Mineral with perfumed oak. Would love it to have a bit more age and it would probably be a 5 star. Great potential. Bernard Bonin is a rising star and Clos du Cromin has 4 stone walls which ripen the grapes quickly. Only produces 1,000 bottles of this each year.

The most graceful Bernard-Bonin I've ever had, even more amazing given the hot and ripe vintage. Medium to light body with a lightfooted touch all along the palate, it shows smooth texture and a gently broad midpalate seasoned with very fresh tones of acacia honey and white peach. The jagged profile leads the mouthfeel to a subtly chalky ending, driven by a savory, snapping acidity with iodized lemon notes. Suffused, delicate nose with popcorn and gunflint plus honey, white peach, talcum and spring breeze.
