The vineyard
The grapes originate from the Peña Aguda plot in Nieva, where pre-phylloxera vines up to two hundred years old grow in slate soils. These extreme conditions and unique terroir provide a natural concentration and a very distinctive aromatic depth.

Winemaking
Following a manual harvest, whole bunches are pressed in a vertical press. Fermentation takes place with indigenous yeasts in 228-liter French oak barrels, followed by ten months of aging on the lees with regular battonage.
