Mystere Toro 9 of 9 (combined note for Almirez and Victorino - such unity and similarity) 100% Tempranillo. Gentle pumpover. 12m in French oak - combo of neutral and new. Bright and powerful. Black and red fruit w toner ink and cocoa nibs. Elegant winemaking on show. “Nothing out of place” very apt from Matt. Both of the Teso La Monja wines were knockout. The Victorino edging the Almirez. Thumbprint of powerful elegance. Excellent for their price point.

🇪🇦 Spanish Toro Red--4.4⭐️ Had at a Tapas restaurant in Charlottesville: this was a powerful, but smooth wine that really complimented the food. Tasting notes of blackberry oak with black cherry, cassis, and leather in the lengthy middle and an almost chocolate vanilla finish.

I really love Toro, my most favorite style of Spanish wines. This one is a bit more smoother/ more barrique for me but still an excellent wine. Thick, full bodied, silky wine, medium acidity. Dark ruby color. On the nose are mainly aromas of vanilla and cherry. Palate is cherry, vanilla, chocolate, cream with light touch of red currant at the end and almost never ending smooth finish.
