Full bodied, complex, long red from Toro with quite silky tannins and perfect balance without any liquorish signs. Exotic spicies in aftertaste, blackberry chocolate plum tobacco black fruit dark cherry. Probably one of the best red I’ve ever tasted so far.

What can I say about Pintia??? This is a colossus wine! Such a consistency. Such complexity. Such delicious! Full of black fruit, oak, leather, tobacco, dark chocolate, graphite. One of the wines I really love.

According to L&W this vintage was about to surpass its peak from an ageing standpoint so we’re drinking it now. The enhanced ageing has added more coal tar, oil, musk and coffee notes to what was already a dense heavy wine. Not for the faint hearted but if you like a heavy red, this is about as heavy as you’ll find in Spain!

Enjoyed this wine at thanksgiving so I bought a second bottle and took it home. Had to go through a few legal maneuvers at a restaurant i. e. Uncorked and taking a sip then recorking but it was marvelous. The alcohol released and all its wonderful flavors pronounced. Excellent

Described as a meaty, punchy Tempranillo by @[1|9287889|Richard Kendrick DipWSET], I have to concur. It’s bold but not overpowering, nice notes of vanilla from the oak. Deep dark fruit, very well balanced, nice acidity.

The winner of our Spanish night on Saturday.🎉 4.3 stars for this Toro!🤩🇪🇸 100% Tempranillo; aged in 70% French and 30% American oak, all new. Paired with a special Iberico Pork cut: Secreto! Outstanding!👌🏻🤤 Decanted for an hour. Smooth, balanced and much finesse! A deep ruby red with long legs. Medium aromas of blackberries, black cherries, cassis, earth, sweet tobacco, dried herbs, slightly leather and hints of toast. The red has a medium+ and juicy acidity, medium+ fine-grained still a bit drying ~~~~>>

👃 violet, blood, ash and stewed plum. 👅 more ox blood, dark chocolate, black fruit and a kick of mint at the end. 🎯 sheer elegance, surprisingly fresh, finely grained tannins and the lightest touch of acidity. A looong finish. 🤔 a stunning 9 year old RdD. I can't remember drinking a better bottle of red since doing these vivino reviews. At £50 odd from L&W its pretty spot on. Drinking well now but easily keep for another 5-10.

One of my favorite Spanish wines (from one of my favorite regions): Toro reds has proven again to be robust , interesting , and delicious 😋 Full body , high tannins , med acidity. Black fruit, tobacco, oak , leather , smoke , black pepper , licorice, clove, and more. Long finish. As far as drinking window I’d say it just got into its zone, not yet in its peak but already enjoyable and not closed.

Outstanding Toro by Vega Sisilia co-operation. My tenth review of Pintia, but first time this vintage. Lovely wine. Dark berries,tobacco, cedar, chocolate and slighly vanilla oak on intense nose. Quite smooth acidity and silky perpetual tannins with dark berries on consentrated palate.Fullbodied and complex very long chocolate finish.Excellent elegant texture and balance.Stunning QPR and quite closed its best drinking window, i suppose. Needs an hour decanding. At restaurant Bambi in Puerto de la Cruz.
