3 word review: vanilla, blackberry, freshness. From heritage Ribera del Duera winery Pagos de los Capellanes this is from their parcel El Nogal. Vanilla bean american oak. This dissipates a little with some air but remains present. Intertwined with intense & ripe aromas of blackberry, mulberry and dark cherry with an almost chewy nature to it. Dark and brooding with a touch of tertiary aromas. Sandy tannins. Super long finish of blackberry jam with brilliant freshness signature of Ribera high altitude.

Modern Ribera but with proper site expression and balance. Polished and serious, built to age.
