How that works I’ve no idea but whatever, the results is a beautiful classic Priorat offering very tasty and mellow fresh fruit.

Very good red blend from Priorat. This is a 50:50 blend of Garnacha and Carignan grown on Llicorella slate with easterly exposure from a single slot. The Carignan is whole bunch fermented, Garnacha is destemmed. Fermentation is amphora and large oak vessels, the latter are used for 18 months fermentation. Deep ruby in the glass, the nose is intense and complex with various herbs and spices coming through the elegant red fruit character. Long on the palate, powerful but delicate. Really enjoyable!
