At least the best cava I have tasted. Fresh fruit driven and a round citrus driven taste. Moderate length. Went well with the racción de jamón ibérico I had.

Mestres Vertical 1 of 5 I had the enormously good fortune to participate in this Vertical, my first real exposure to Spanish Cava. Was told that the vines are 40 yrs old and the it was bottled for 42 months before release. Nose of nutty almond and sweet yellow cake. On the palate it was like a perfectly ripe green apple with unripe orange. Leaves a slightly sweet (yes, despite it being an extra brut) and mildly bitter finish.
