Lamb chop dinner and @VG wanted something nice. This Macan that we brought back from Sweden some years ago seemed like a good choice. Deep ruby coloured with a beautiful nose of dark plums, dark cherries, black currants, sweet oak and some pepper corn. With some airtime lovely soy sauce notes join. Full bodied with a velvet smooth mouthfeel. Powerful lush fruit on the palate with medium plus acidity. Nice structured tannins and a superbly long finish. Such a treat.

Dark- garnet colored with ruby sparkles. It offers an intense bouquet of fruits and spices. Common aromas include blackcurrant, blackberry, cherry jam, milk chocolate and espresso bean. Further complexity comes from allspice, cedar, truffles, walnuts and graphite tones. The palate is round, unctuous and well-structered , displaying deep fruit flavors of cassis and dark plums, joined by hints of cocoa powder, tobacco leaf and earthy undertones. The tannins are velvety providing structure and a smooth mouthfeel!

Wow, what a wine! The nose/palate is Rioja/tempranillo Vega Sicilia on its best possible behaviour, oak, vanilla, tobacco, blackberry, plum, leather & savory / salivating to the max. This is so perfectly in balance it´s just incredible. Full body, beautiful tannins & salavating fruit-acidity. I´m already drunk but could still finish this bottle in no time. This is almost devine! The Rothschilds knows how to make a good investment! This is happiness in a glass, I´m speecless.. need more bottles! 94
