Flor de Pingus 2020 Magnum

El Flor de Pingus 2020, un vino tinto de la D.O. Ribera del Duero producido por Dominio de Pingus bajo la dirección del destacado ingeniero agrónomo y enólogo Peter Sisseck, destaca como una joya vinícola. Reconocido como uno de los enólogos más destacados de España, Peter Sisseck lidera la elaboración de este vino en la pequeña bodega de Dominio de Pingus.

Proveniente de viñas situadas entre los 700 y 850 metros de altitud, con edades comprendidas entre los 30 y 55 años, Flor de Pingus 2020 nace en parcelas seleccionadas del entorno de La Horra. Estas viñas aportan una expresión pura del Tempranillo, cultivado de forma sostenible. El vino pasa por una crianza parcial en barricas de roble francés, con un 20% de madera nueva, lo que aporta estructura sin enmascarar el carácter de la fruta.

Con una producción limitada de 110.000 botellas embotelladas en julio de 2022, este vino es ideal para quienes buscan comprar vino online de alta gama y origen exclusivo. Flor de Pingus 2020 es perfecto para acompañar carnes rojas, platos tradicionales castellanos o para disfrutar en ocasiones especiales.

Birthday bash at Ruth’s Chris Dark ruby red Aromas: vanilla, plum, tobacco, black cherry blossoms Flavors: cherry, oak, black fruit, leather, and earthy minerals enmeshed in firm but mellow tannins. A high degree of acidity is noted requiring decanting and aeration with this young wine out of the bottle but still amazing..Black fruits and earthiness galore. A really lovely RdD Bravo wine!

Wonderful second wine of Dominio de Pingus. The ”Baby” is aged 14 months in French oak barrels. Mostly grapes of Tempranillo in vintage 2020 with exception of 3% Grenache and 0,5% white grapes. Elegant and balanced, aromatic and floral with high fruity concentration. Almost fullbodied, grippy dry, fine tannins and high acidity. Black currant, black berries, plum, wild strawberry, dried tobacco leafs, coffee beans and dark chocolate. Notes of sweet fruit licorice, Madagascar vanilla, cedar and roasted oak.

Slightly disappointed vs high expectations. Still quite young with a lot of rather astringent tannin. Oak seems to be overpowering fruit lead aromas. High alcohol obviously. Maybe in 5-10 years time it’ll be a great wine but now now. Not really sure if I am honest…
