La Paulée du Coureur, a charitable event at Le Coureur des Bois on May 9. Everybody brings a bottle that is shared across the tables. Another example of someone that did not get the memo. I did pour the guy some of my Gaja! But I wanted to make sure my Gaja got drink in full, cause it deserves it! Not all bottle were emptied during the evening (this bottle being an example). At least I got a new RS ✅ No notes taken.

Deep garnet in the glass with nose of herb, spice, cigar, cigarette, anise, cassis, blackcurrent, oak, cedar, blackberry. High acidity with aging tough of herb, cedar spicy palate lingered quite longer. In 2011, due to the heavy rain, reduced the produce rate of grapes and concentrated on making wines.

Rojo violeta profundo. En nariz moras, cerezas, chocolate. En boca taninos medios, madera de acidez media y final largo. Un excelente cabernet para acompañar carnes rojas o una buena conversa. Deep violet red. On the nose blackberries, cherries, chocolate. On the palate medium tannins, wood with medium acidity and a long finish. An excellent cabernet to accompany red meats or a good conversation.

Sunday 🍷 fun went big here. Paired with donated and delivered smoked beef brisket ( gotta like family/ friends in 🔐 down ) . Yum. Big cab Sav from 🇪🇸 at age 10 showing no sign of let up. Burly, Beasty with boldness of cassis, blackberry, nose of Smoke rings from cigars. Firm tannins but do have some forgiveness. Rich and leathery. Darkness from the colour, smoke and tar. Warm vintage the ‘11; 14.5%. Not my fave style but kinda want more. Seducing master 😂. 4.1 ⭐️ 🎯 team V.

Wow, excellent wine. The aroma is a solid powerful wall of summer fruit, Really dark red translucent colour. Elegant, perfectly balanced with full raspberries and plums coming through. Complex, ultra smooth aftertaste. It handles like a vintage port, a very heavy sediment which means the wine needs decanting. Went perfect with a good fillet steak, fabulous.

Cassis and black currant. Really well- balanced and integrated oak, and cedar. The tannins are there but well balanced by the acidity. Last of 6 bottles we had; wished I had saved the other this long. It is drinking really well now.

4,2 stars. This emblematic Cab has been on my wishlist for a long time. Finally getting the chance to try it. A bold wine, that was true mouthcandy, yet at this price point I would have expected a bit more personality. Heavy perfumed inky nose, with a melange of well oaked massive bold liquorice, ripe dark cassis & ripe creamy dark plum in smooth dark spices, with lovely subtle integrated vanilla & a ghost of citrus peel.
