Производство

После холодной мацерации сусло ферментируют с использованием диких дрожжей. Малолактическая ферментация и последующая выдержка в течение 16 месяцев проходят в новых бочках из французского дуба, после чего вино еще шесть месяцев созревает в стальных резервуарах.

A Tempranillo from >45 years old vines from the single vineyard Finca El Puntido at ~600 m altitude, with calcareous loamy soils. Fermented and malolactic fermentation in large oak barrels, then aged for 16 months in new French oak barrels. Dark ruby red colour with violet reflexes and thick tears. Juicy black cherries, tones of violets, blackberries, cooked plums, liquorice and spices, hints of cedar wood, graphite and used leather, iron minerality, polished tannins, round acidity, very long slight silky finish.

Much better than the warm Puntido 2005 I had in Manila. This time I believe this was while still young benefited from proximity to the source with less travel. Dark ruby. Bouquet of ripe bright plum or and blackberry with good oak and acid promise. Taste delivered. Lingering thick fruit forward flavor of the same above plus vanilla and minerality. Should buy more and store for at least 5-10 years

Blind from @[1|2962158|Ruud Berlie] #5 Dark red colored. In the nose a mix of oak vanilla; honey, hint of tobacco, ripe black currants and some bread crumb. Med+ acidity, med tannins, also grippy on the inner cheeks. Slight bitter on the palate. Balanced in line with the nose. Little less complex than previous sample. Med+ finish. I feel this may be Rioja again, 2-3 yrs old.

Airing is essential, this wine from the bottle it is an average plus Tempranillo wine - in 30 minutes decanted it is probably one of the more true interpretation of this grape, certainly a lot more true than the more sweetens/treated version of the large producers. 100% Tempranillo, minerality outstanding and actually the wine production facility dates back to the 17 century.

Really good wine. It has very dark rubby colour. Smell of it is harmonic. Lime pepper, salt, vanilla cranberry. But the taste of it is really unique and velvet. First it is very salty. After then comes the pepper. Have to wait 10 second to soflty deiscover the honey, the citrus, the vannile an cinamon. BUY IT, TRY IT. You will discover again int the taste of wine your grandmather sandays cakes's taste and remembers..
