The Lalama white has apparently just received 100 points from Penin Guide. This is a relatively simple red blend of Garnacha, Brancellao & Mencia which was a bit ripe and concentrated for my taste but perfectly serviceable.

Good aroma on the nose, with a leather that holds. A light bodied red from a region known for whites. The leather and coffee are strong throughout with blackberry finish that holds perfectly. Had this in Spain and would get it again!

Crazy value. My wife called it red burgundy, and I think I would have called it the same. Beautiful ruby in the glass. Nose of baking spices, red cherry, leather, red plum, a touch of black licorice, some red rose petal and stems from whole cluster. Palate is soft and yummy with red cherry baking spices, black cherry, raspberry, pomegranate, with a spicy herbaceous finish. Med alcohol (13%), med - body, low tannin, med + acid. Med finish and med + complexity. Well made. Y’all need to try this one.
