В процессе ферментации сорт Cabernet Franc аккуратно соединяют с Merlot для достижения естественного баланса. Затем вино выдерживают около 18 месяцев в бочках из французского дуба с минимальным использованием нового дерева.

Domaine de Cambes 2019 80% Merlot, 20% Cabernet Franc. 100% new French oak. Grown just outside the Côtes de Bourg appellation (Right Bank), therefore labeled Bordeaux AOC. Oak, vanilla, sweet butter, clove, caramel, coffee, tobacco, cassis, dark plum, blackberry, figs, prune, blueberry, smoke umami & utter harmony. The oak lifts the fruit rather than dominating it. Incredible harmony, purity & fruit concentration. François Mitjavile is a true magician. Drinks like a €200 wine, yet I paid €34. Amazing QPR. 95,5p

Crafted by Francois Mitjavile of Le Tertre -Roteboeuf and composed with 80% Merlot and 20% Cabernet Franc. A detailed, juicy bouquet offering aromas of black plums, dark raspberries, wild strawberries , mulberries and crushed violets , accented by hints of toasty mocha, truffles and a touch of iodine. Medium to full- bodied with a layered, seamless and velvety texture. It displays a balance of dark berry fruit, sweet , ripe tannins and a fresh, juicy mid- palate lift. Harmonious, approachable and lingering !!

It is time for some Merlot on this #MerlotThursday. Let's bring Merlot back! Dark ruby in color with a wide reddish rim. Strong nose and medium plus in body with medium acidity. Dry on the palate with nice complexity. Showing black fruits with cedar, chocolates, tobacco, herbs, spices, earth and peppercorn. Long finish with fine grained tannins and tangy cherries. Just wow! Leave it some time to decant and then it's the bomb. Red fruit and dark fruit immediately predominate, cherry, blueberry, jam. With time you get notes of oak, leather, tobacco, pepper and licorice. Very complex on the palate and the finish is long and good!

Coravined at a wine shop in Saint Emilion. Good fruit and baking spice, with some typical Bordeaux earthiness. Smooth, dry palate. Firm tannins on the long finish. My score is just a placeholder. This is good, but too young to fairly judge. This is supposedly the “Petrus of Cote de Bourg”.
