A very enjoyable Bordeaux. Tons of fresh dark fruit come out immediately and linger with some oak, cedar, limestone and a hint of vanilla. A very nice wine that is really enjoyable now but clearly has its best days ahead of it. I opened one of my 4 bottles because my wife wanted to try it but I think it’s worth waiting longer for the rest.

Dry with notable acidity, yet enjoyable and elegant, medium + bodied, with a complex mineral, smoky-dried dark raspberries, cassis, dried herbs ( Star annis, oregano, clove), warm baking spices, vanilla/cedar box oak rounding it out. So this French bottle is very highly scored although it is young. I got it at auction and can't find it anywhere. The bottle was a work of art in itself. The nose was pretty fruity but it was very very dry which I love. I knew it was a French wine but it could be in a lineup with California cabs. It definitely packed a dry punch so we had light cheese with it. It opened up very nicely and slowly had a bit more floral taste as time went on. I'm very happy with it as my French wine journey continues. Cheers!
