После ручного сбора и тщательного отбора сусло ферментируется в чанах из французского дуба. Затем вино проходит яблочно-молочное брожение и выдерживается 16 месяцев во французских дубовых бочках, после чего созревает еще 20 месяцев в бутылках.

10/26 BCN 2011 in 2026– 15 years old with a broken cork and sediment in the glass but still excellent. Decanted 1.5 hrs before first sip. Smooth, dry, blackberry and oaky with cigar spice. Just enough acidity to pair with an excellent pizza

Delicious - lovely mature Rioja, with black cherry, plum, cedar and sweet spice, layered with just enough earthy, savoury development. Silky and beautifully balanced on the palate, still fresh and energetic from magnum, with fine tannins and a long, polished finish. Drinking really well from magnum - opened day in advance and slow oxed.

No change to previous rating - this is drinking very nicely now for me . Forward silky smooth blackcurrant , blackberry , cherry and plum with soft oak and leather , integrated tannins lengthy finish . Had with sous vide steak 🥩 , rost mini potatoes and hispi cabbage . Super pairing 👌🏻

Casual birthday lunch,wine from my cellar. Paired it with roasted Irish duck, black pepper beef cubes and deer meat. Was decent. Though craving for the basque country food like roasted baby lamb leg I had in my previous Spain trip lol. Vanilla, coconut, dill, blueberry, plum , leather, fruit jam, dried herbs quite lovely and good balance. Expressive and fresh. Medium finish with abv 14.5

Great producer and this is a compact Reserva. Black fruits, hint of cedar. The noise is quite closed. You get a hint of mint on the palate as well as vanilla, blackberry. Very fine tannins. Quality wine

At the 13 year mark a solid winner! Ethereal nose💫 A absolut treat in my glass😃 After a 3 hour decant the wine unfolded well!🍷 Nice elegant oils on the glass and a dark red in colour!! On the nose cherries,dark chocolate and currants! A very intensive bouquet of the 95% Tempranillo and 5% Graciano! A multi dimensional feeliing on the palate with a dark cherry,black currant feel to it! Long finish and the tannins are strong and dominant! A complex wine and one to cellar or hold 😌 As always we say enjoy 🍷😉

Another Rioja ’11 classic to try, poured out by @Tom N.! Needs 30’ to open up after which the party opens gently, peppery and matured with earthy notes of barnyard & old attic lifted by elegant fruity whiffs of ripe black cherries, plums & ripe brambles carried by a mineral whiffs, blond tobacco, cigar box spot, flowery notes, Autumn leaves & meditative whiffs of sandal wood. The palate is silky smooth & quite earthy with ripe red fruit in balanced acids while ending long. Lovely, but needs more body ⤵

Wine tasting with the family! Lots of dusty aromas, burnt oak, vanilla, tobacco and leather. Lots of power, very acidic, medium+ to high tannins, bolder than lots of Riojas but still in range. Smooth and nice mouthfeel. Flavors of blackberries, black cherry emerging along the ones carrying over from the aromas!

4.5 ⭐️ This is a terrific wine! It is probably in the beginning of its window but I really enjoy this stage. Complex nose of dark fruit, chocolate, vanilla and lavender. Medium+ body and acidity. Palate is very smooth and balanced. Flavours of dark fruit and dark cherry, chocolate and vanilla and some discreet mature tones like tobacco and leather. Good intensity and quiet tannic.

4.3 Dark red black color. Elegant but at first subdued bouquet, which opens up in the glass. Dark fruit, plum, blueberries, black cherry, oak, pencil shavings, chocolate, smoke. Full body with good fruit, pronounced anise/licorice, good maturing tannins still biting on the gums and balanced medium-high acidity. Long licorice aftertaste. It drinks well already but can last another 5-10 years. Maybe not as good as the 2007 and 2005 as it lacked a tad in taste complexity.

#82 in race to 100 Rioja Red with: @cph @[1|7098841|Texas Ted] @[1|947778|Mike Benson] This is pretty darn good and even better than last time I rated it 2 years ago. Awesome Reserva. I like to oak balance / treatment here. Fruit is still the main act, not vanilla. Awesome structure, balance and finesse. Some sediment towards the end but it’s all good. Happy days! Highly recommended.
