The vineyard
The grapes originate from Finca Valdepoleo, a vineyard located in Laguardia, Rioja Alavesa, at the foot of the Sierra de Cantabria. This high-altitude estate is divided into seven distinct plots, each with unique soil characteristics that contribute complexity to the Tempranillo grapes.
Winemaking
Fermentation takes place in small stainless steel tanks, with each plot vinified separately according to its soil type. Following malolactic fermentation, the wine is aged for 12 months in 225-liter French oak barrels before the final blending.
