Ruby color. Nose of raspberry. Strawberry jam palate. Aftertaste of licorice, ash and cranberry. Fruity light body which finishes with quite a bit of spice. Complex and pleasant!

Deep purple. Initially reductive nose needing aggressive swirling to reveal black plum, crushed rock, and wild herbs. Medium-to-full-bodied but disjointed: chalky, abundant tannins clamp the mid-palate while fruit struggles against an alcoholic undertow. Acidity lacks precision. Long, savory finish with a rustic, chewy grip. Structured and terroir-driven, demanding patience; it will improve as tannins integrate, though true finesse may remain elusive.

This is proper Mediterranean Monastrell. Ripe blackberry and dark plum, but with freshness and lift. There’s wild herbs, a bit of cracked pepper, and that dry, stony edge that keeps it honest. Medium to full-bodied, good grip on the tannins, but balanced — not jammy, not heavy. Feels natural and well-made rather than engineered. Serious value for the price.

Wow - impressive value. I tried the Servil first before this one, and the Servil is an impressive Monastrell reminiscent of Nebbiolo from Langhe. Whereas Servil is more Barbaresco/Barolo esque, This one is like a Langhe Nebbiolo, but lighter in body. Great tannins.

Liked didn’t love. Got a lot of vegetal notes that threw me. Distinctly Asparagus. A little smoke, earthy, red fruit. Not jammy. Quite dry. Medium acid. Medium + body. It was on the cusp of being really good, kept tasting thinking it would get there but alas.
