The vineyard
The grapes come from a historic, century-old vineyard of just 0.8 hectares, situated at an altitude of 600 meters. The vines grow in deep clay soils within a small valley sheltered by gentle hills. This unique location creates a distinct microclimate with a notable Mediterranean influence.
Winemaking
Spontaneous fermentation takes place with destemmed grapes in a truncated cone-shaped stainless steel tank. After undergoing malolactic fermentation in the same vessel, the wine is aged for 30 months in 500-liter French oak barrels.
Why buy it
Its extremely limited production and heritage from old vines make this red wine a true collector's item for enthusiasts of unique Rioja profiles. It is a structured wine built for long-term cellaring, promising to develop beautifully in the bottle over the coming years.
