Jules Desjourneys Songe 2022 es un vino tinto seco elaborado con la variedad Pinot Noir, que refleja la elegancia y finura características de esta uva. Procede de Domaine Jules Desjourneys, una bodega ubicada en el sur de Borgoña, conocida por su trabajo en las denominaciones de origen de Mâconnais y Beaujolais.

La bodega cuenta actualmente con 7 hectáreas de viñedo en Beaujolais y 10 hectáreas en Mâconnais, cultivadas siguiendo principios de agricultura biodinámica, donde todas las labores en el viñedo se realizan manualmente para preservar la autenticidad del terroir. Además de sus reconocidos vinos de Fleurie y Moulin-à-Vent, la bodega elabora también referencias de Pouilly-Fuissé, Pouilly-Vinzelles, Mâcon Prissé y Mâcon Verzé, consolidando su prestigio en Borgoña.

Redolent Winter

(4.0) Very young at the moment but after few hours super aromatic red fruits with razor sharp acidity like sour pomegranate and underripe plum covered in salt creating savory impression, with earthy background of pepper, cocoa powder, olives. Concentrated and juicy, reductive and lively, needs long aeration and somewhat too young but already deliciously flavorful.

Crazy delicious. The 2020 Songe from Jules Desjourneys is one of the best discoveries I've made in a long time. It's 100% Pinot Noir grown in Beaujolais, which is the reason for its Vin de France status. After the fermentation, the wine ages in a mixture of oak, cement and glass globes (developed by Arnaud Ente). The wine is juicy and fresh on the palate, making one crave the next sip. Not overly complex - but just damn delicious. Highly recommended - but leave some for me. A sure re-buy (already did).

Gamechanger to me. Pinot from the southernmost Beaujolais! It is not a verified grape here, that’s why it needs to be declared Vin de France. Wine shows a sexy reduction to it. Very ripe cherries, thyme, licorice and cinnamon. On the palate elegant, with silky tannins. Sexy, juicy, lots of red berries and cherries. This wine really gets me. 96P

Jules D 2020 Songe is an unexpected discovery. PN is not allowed in Beaujolais, so it goes by as VDF. Made fr grapes grown on soil parcels of granite/clay/limestone in the Pierres Dorées. Light ruby in colour. Nose of strawberry, cranberry, cherry with floral and earthy notes. On the palate, it’s dry, light to med bodied, med+acidity with flavours of predominantly red fruits, pepper and earth. Lithe and well balanced. To be enjoyed in its youth. Cheers!
