The vineyard
The grapes are sourced from a 0.2-hectare plot in the La Mata Valley, home to ancient vineyards documented since 1904. The brown clay soil naturally regulates moisture for the vines, while the eastern exposure creates a cooler microclimate in the afternoon.
Winemaking
Following a manual harvest, fermentation takes place in open wooden vats. The wine is then aged for 14 months in Burgundy-style oak barrels.
