The vineyard
The grapes originate from Finca La Veguilla, a 16.5-hectare plot in San Vicente de la Sonsierra situated at 490 meters above sea level. Its clay-limestone soils with surface pebbles and biodynamic farming practices since 1975 ensure low yields of high concentration.
Winemaking
Following manual destemming, fermentation occurs with indigenous yeasts in French oak vats and barrels, accompanied by daily punching down. Malolactic fermentation and the subsequent 24-month ageing take place in new French oak barrels.
