The vineyard
The grapes originate from the exclusive Pira vineyard in Castiglione Falletto, adjacent to Rocche di Castiglione. The vines, aged between 35 and 60 years, grow on diverse soils that contribute complexity and depth to the wine.
Winemaking
Fermentation takes place in large wooden vats using indigenous yeasts, followed by an extended maceration with a submerged cap for over two months. The wine is then aged for five years in large neutral French oak casks.
