Deep dark-red cherry with a dense garnet rim. The bouquet is focused and mineral-driven, offering aromas of aged wood nuances, pipe tobacco, creamy oak, and sweet spices over a backdrop of crushed black plums and chalk. The palate is full-bodied, robust, and seriously structured, framed by a layer of chalky, tightly wound, and rather drying tannins. Balanced by sound acidity that manages the 15% alcohol, it finishes long, tight, and austere with persistent balsamic wood.

Crafted under the guidance of legendary winemaker Peter Sisseck, this blend consists of 80% Tempranillo and 20% Cabernet Sauvignon, aged for 18 months in French oak barrels. An expressive Bouquet is dominated by mulberries, blackcurrants and black cherries alongside a lift of fresh strawberries, cinnamon spice, black pepper, licorice and toffee . Medium plus bodied with a velvety, fleshy and seamless texture. Marked by a distinct chalky mineral character that provides great freshness, perfectly balancing the

A truly spectacular wine, well-structured, smooth, and velvety on the palate, with a lingering and persistent finish. Notas de frutos negros y rojos, regaliz y madera con un toque floral. Hacieda Monasterio starts in 1990 when Peter Sisseck (whom later founded Dominio de Pingus) arrived in Ribera del Duero to manage the Estate. This vintage is a blend of 80% Tinto Fino (Tempranillo) and 20% CS, aged for 18 months in new French oak. Second time trying this wine, and first time trying this vintage. Really good wine. Tasting notes below: plum ; pepper ; violet ; blackberry ; oak ; violet ; almond ; leather ; smoke

Superb fruit forward intense wine. Will only get better with some age. But absolutely drink now for those who love early drinking primary wines!

So savoury, grilled meat dried herbs oak blackberry blackcurrant pepper tar balsamic sweet tobacco. A lot of concentration, with sweet tannins that almost melted away. Currently it’s aged to a point where it developed enough tertiary flavours while maintaining freshness. Acidity is not the most dominant character but enough to keep a good balance. It pairs really well with meat dishes, especially Iberico ham.

A bodega the mighty Peter Sisseck consults at. This is a very elegant RdD. So well balanced. Lovely blackberry, cherry, oak, vanilla, chocolate. Very long finish. Delightful.

This RdD is quickly becoming a favorite. A rich nose that goes on and on. In mouth it’s got that delightfulness that great wines have that makes them very elegant and evidences they were well-made. It’s in no way inexpensive, but it’s as good a wines at twice the price - good value then.
