Antídoto Roselito 2025

The vineyard

The grapes are sourced from vineyards in the San Esteban de Gormaz area, blending centenarian vines with younger plots. These vineyards are cultivated organically, maintaining long-standing local agricultural traditions.

This is definitely not your cheerful “rosé by the lake at sunset” type of bottle. No easy flirting here! The nose brings cherry pits, a twist of grapefruit and dried herbs drifting through the glass like a Mediterranean breeze with attitude. Bone-dry on the palate, packed with hibiscus-like florals, raspberry-citrus freshness and enough grip to remind you this wine absolutely expects food on the table. A fascinating blend of 70% Tempranillo and 30% Albillo Mayor, and my very first rosé from Ribera del Duero.

When travelling and appropriate, I like to try local wines. In the summer months in Europe, a glass of rosé is always appreciated. Sitting in the sun and a warm day we chose this way. It has a peachy colour. A little bit acidic but not too much. As with all rose the cold of the better it’s a very nice glass overall.

A blend of 70% of Tinto Fino and 30% of Albillo from San Esteban de Gormaz, in the heart of the Ribera de Soria, Spain. Expresses aromas of fennel, rhubarb, peach, melon, orange zest, raspberry, and white pepper. Floral, crisp, medium bodied, uncomplicated, with a medium length finish. Lacks some elegance which I would expect from Rosé.

Palate: The “roselito cut” of all the years follows, that of the old vines of fine red and albillo, but with a more enveloping attack than ever butter wild strawberry yeast oil lime citrus grapefruit
