Dry crisp attack. Then a wonderful creaminess hits with great complexity. Autolytic notes, yeast, dried tree fruits, flint minerals. Oozing grace and elegance.

96/100. 173ieme. Fresher than the older editions I’ve tried. Peach, apple, lemon, marzipan, and flower. Excellent acidity and linearity and a lingering finish. This will definitely be better with some age.

#11302 - even the white Krug bubbles haven’t made it to top 3 🫪! GC series 3 / maroon-gold, base wines 1990, reserve back to 1978 - rare early edition. Magnum and normal bottle. Extremely fine perlage (tastes almost like white wine), finest acidity, elegant character, creamy and complex. Pleasantly balsamic. Magnum shows beautiful freshness. Yeast, brioche, oak, bruised apple, mint, nutty aromas. Aristocratic and elegant nose. Beautiful!

Yes!!!!!! Finally was able to try Krug. Golden, golden in glass. Nose of bread dough, pizza dough, sourdough, big time. Palate is incredible, ample, expansive, super bone dry and wine an endless finish. Immersive. Damn this was gold. And guess what? The other guests were not into champs so my wife and I drank the entire bottle 😍😍😍 Lucky night !

Dinner at @Tom N. and his wife. A true showstopper, beats Dompi every time imo. We had it blind, and it needed a little time in the glass to open up. Krug came to mind eventually, though I never would’ve guessed Tom had this gem in his cellar! Edition 172, based on the 2016 harvest, is simply magnificent: layers of hazelnut, brioche, citrus zest, and honey with a creamy texture and endless length. The finesse and complexity are breathtaking, pure class in a glass.

The WOTN of the Champagne dinner! Not just a Krug, a 135st edition, my oldest yet. Actually one of my oldest champagnes! Based on 1979, disgorged in 1986 😳! Was it still good? Oh yes! ☺️ Seductive, floral nose with ripe peach, apricot, overripe lemon, caramelized apple including the peel, herbal notes and salinity followed by a beautifully fruity, intense palate with absolutely perfect acidity, white peach, overripe lemon & grapefruit, dried orange, dried fig & plum and very long, creamy finish.

Outrageous indulgence to sip slowly over 90mins whilst flying over N Spain en route to Gredos for #BoT24 164eme regarded by many as the best numbered edition ever. Primary component being 08 🤩 Developed wonderfully. Somehow got more tight and astringent as it opened up. Beautiful cloud of chalk all around it. Pear skin, hazelnut skin, croissant flakes, green pastille. Powerful. Striking. Quintessential Krug contrast + confidence.
