The vineyard
The grapes originate from a single vineyard of just under 1.5 hectares, planted in 1973 in San Vicente de la Sonsierra. The clay-limestone soil, covered with alluvial stones, ensures excellent drainage and imparts a distinct mineral character to the wine.
Winemaking
The harvest is manually selected, and destemming is performed grape by grape. Following fermentation with indigenous yeasts and traditional foot treading, the wine undergoes malolactic fermentation and ages for 18 months in new French and Central European oak barrels.
