Despite the warmth of 2022, its modest alcohol and restrained extraction reveal a desire to preserve the fruit’s natural beauty rather than pursue richness. Delicate cranberry notes remain pure and vivid, yet rather simple. I wonder if Burgundy should offer greater depth and complexity. Still, there is something captivating about this wine’s lovely, unadorned expression of fruit. Not the beauty of complexity, but the beauty of purity.

A really nicely balanced Bourgogne with our meal, that could accompany a ribeye steak, as well as a full-flavored halibut.

4.2 at Dégustation 2 weeks ago may be overestimated. I enjoyed the whole bottle of the elegant wine with grilled eel liver, broiled canard from Sakon and broiled rare female eel. The aroma of red berries and mushrooms were so impressive.

Cherry, earth, oak, hint of mushroom - very very good, but not as complex as I’d expect given the price point

Light red with slight bricking compared to the Chambolle. Smokey, leather, strawberry expressive nose. Rich yet, silky mouth feel. Very fine tannins, good acidity. Strawberry, violets, slight orange, star anise and smoke on the palate. Prefer it much more to the Chambolle of the same year.

Village wine that hints at grand cru sophistication. Deep ruby color. Sophisticated nose offering layers of red cherries, wild berries, exotic spice, and subtle violet notes. The palate shows remarkable refinement with pure red fruit, silky tannins, and perfect structure. Medium+ acidity provides excellent balance. Exceptionally long, elegant finish.
