The vineyard

The grapes originate from the La Montagne parcel, cultivated under organic farming practices since the 1990s. The vineyard benefits from the continental climate of the Côte-d'Or, which promotes a balanced ripening of the Chardonnay grapes. After destemming, the grapes undergo a short cold maceration before fermenting in stainless steel tanks and oak barrels. The wine is then aged in French oak barrels of varying ages. It is bottled without fining or filtration to preserve its natural structure.

This is an overperforming Côte de Nuits Chardonnay made in a classic, old-school style. Amazingly focused texture, both close-fitting and calibratedly viscous, which made the mouthfeel precisely connected and flowing from the entrance to the ending. Smooth, with bright notes of white peach and fresh pear on midpalate, pushed forward by a salivating, fruity and long acidity through a brilliantly skin-tight late palate. Lactic nose with celery tones that open up on white melon, fresh pear and white peach.
