The vineyard
The grapes originate from the El Hoyo estate, a historic vineyard planted in 1923 with a southwest exposure. The vines grow in shallow sandy soils formed by the erosion of calcareous sandstone, benefiting from an Atlantic climate with moderate rainfall.
Winemaking
Crafted under the direction of winemaker Eduardo Eguren, the wine is made from a massal selection of Tempranillo. Following fermentation, it undergoes ageing in oak barrels, which provides structure, complexity, and excellent bottle-ageing potential.
