The vineyard
The grapes originate from the El Bosque estate, a vineyard planted in 1973 in San Vicente de the Sonsierra. The clay-limestone soil, rich in alluvial pebbles, provides a distinctive freshness to the vines, which are managed using organic and low-intervention viticulture.
Winemaking
Following manual destemming and cold maceration, fermentation takes place in small oak vats with traditional foot-treading. The wine then undergoes malolactic fermentation and ages for 18 months in new French and Central European oak barrels.
