From the Loire to Marlborough
In the Loire, in Sancerre and Pouilly-Fumé, it makes taut, mineral whites with citrus, grass and a smoky hint of flint. In Marlborough, New Zealand, it bursts with passion fruit, grapefruit and gooseberry. In Bordeaux it is blended with Sémillon, in dry whites and in sweet Sauternes, while South Africa, Chile and Rueda offer fresh versions at very good prices.
