The vineyard
The grapes come from old vines over 90 years old in Villalba, Rioja Alta, situated at an altitude of 650 meters. These vines grow in sandy soils with weathered sandstone under a mild Atlantic climate, which ensures slow and balanced ripening.
Winemaking
Malolactic fermentation takes place in barrels using the bâtonnage technique. The wine is aged for 18 months in new French Allier oak barrels and is bottled without fining or filtration to preserve its authentic character.
