Miraval Studio Rose 2025

Miraval Studio Rose is a dry rosé wine from the IGP Méditerranée, crafted from Cinsault, Rolle, Grenache, and Tibouren. It offers an aromatic profile of fresh flowers and redcurrants, balanced by a distinct mineral freshness and a saline finish.

The vineyard

The vineyards are influenced by the Mediterranean Sea, characterized by constant sea breezes and saline soils.

Winemaking

Following direct pressing, Cinsault and Tibouren ferment in stainless steel tanks to preserve their fresh fruit character. Grenache and Rolle are partially vinified in egg-shaped concrete tanks, keeping the lees in suspension naturally to build texture.

I’ve been buying this very quaffable Miraval Provence Rosé (when on double discount) for about 5 years and remarkably it’s still available at £7.50 which was the same price I paid back in 2021 🙌. My previous review is still bang on too - all the classic Provence Rosé characteristics in abundance, pale pink in colour, subtle red summer berry flavours of raspberry & strawberry with good grapefruit acidity. Light & crisp, dry & refreshing, a lovely well-balanced blend of Cinsault, Grenache Noir, Rolle & Tibouren.

Waiting in the Lounge at Toronto airport for my departure and surprisingly they do have the “Brad Pitt Rosé”😳! But I have the feeling that this one is not becoming better, I’m even not sure if he is still in charge. Like always you get red berries, lavender, peach and lemon … but this time mainly on the palate where the m lemon acids are popping up until a too short end

Pale pink colour. Medium (-) and developing nose with ripe peach, nectarine, rose petal, white flowers, lavender and hints of dried herbs. Medium (-) taste of peach, ripe red currant, grapefruit, dried herbs and sea salt. Medium long and dry finish. High acidity. Medium body. A very good Provence Rosé with good fruit and herbyness. Drink now. Goes well with pork, poultry or salads.

Despite all my prejudices, I have to admit that this is quite a good rosé. It very much feels like a “light” edition of the Miraval rosé and reminds me of the early releases of Miraval. An appealing nose with white flowers, citrus and peach, lifted by some Provençal freshness. The palate is crisp and straightforward showing ripe white fruit, fine minerality and a subtle saline character finishing vibrant and refreshing. A decent rosé for the pool or a summer terrace.

Miraval's Studio Rosé is from Méditerranée IGP, a big area in the southeast of France. It is very pale pink. There is lots of fruit, with cranberry, watermelon and grapefruit. It tastes saline and herbal with a touch more residual sugar than most Provençal rosé, though it only has 12.5% ABV. Medium(+) acidity. A reasonable wine given the inexpensive price.

Youthful nose, medium(+) aroma intensity, white flowers, lemon, lime, melon, strawberry and raspberry. Dry, high acidity, medium(-) alcohol and light body. Vibrant raspberry, strawberry, redcurrant, lemon, melon and floral notes; medium finish. Very good Q, easy-drinking and very refreshing, a good rosé option for the price.
