The vineyard
The grapes are sourced from small plots in Fuentenebro, an area characterized by high altitude and an extreme climate. The mineral-rich, reddish soils impart a distinct identity and freshness to the old Tempranillo and Albillo vines.
Winemaking
Following a manual harvest, fermentation takes place by plot in wooden vats, concrete tanks, and clay amphorae. The wine is then aged for 18 months in French oak barrels and foudres, followed by 12 months of bottle aging.
