Great wine!! Much more than what you would expect from a pinot noir. At first nose you can find some truffles, moss, black currant compote, and rose pepper, second nose the truffle goes down and you find some more licorice, maraschino and some wet grounds. Great to pair with some white pasta, shell fish or strong cheese, but I would definitely use it to pair a very dark chocolate dessert

Informal after dinner wine. Clear, beautiful ruby colour. Nose of mature, red fruit. Red plum, raspberry and strawberry. Hint of dark fruit with rich blackcurrants tones, hint of floral tones. Rich, sweet barrel character. Palate of delicious, red fruit. Raspberry, strawberry and mature red cherry tones. Black cherry, blackcurrants and hint of blackberry. Vanilla from barrel, hint of toast and fruit on the sweet side. Opulent and smooth, long finish. Very good Cali Pinot from the Torres family of Spain.

Gigi visiting. Halve way big PN. I guess just in between the Central Valley big ones and the cool climate Oregon ones. Rather nuanced, sensual and elegant. Nose with strawberry, raspberry, earthiness, and cedar, leather and vanilla & toast. Slender palate, medium acidity, fruit sweetness, little tanines, laurel, nutmeg, cumin. Light and savoury.

A fantastic wine 🍷. The Pinot Noir from Marimar is “out of this world”. Brought it back from the winery in California.....and it was worth it!! Gentle, full bodied flavors gives it my approval. I need more of this one....and even the year 2013 is accepted 👍🏻

Cherries and liquirice on the nose. Mouth is fruity and quite powerfull with notes of cherries, blackberries dark fruit, liquirice, peppery notes and loads of vanilla. Pretty straight forward and lacking some complexity it acidity in the finish.
